Angels Do Really Exists…

14 06 2007

On Monday night, seven million viewers saw a 6-year old Angel by the name of Connie Talbot sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow at the ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent Birmingham auditions.

She received a standing ovation and left the programme’s three judges, Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, speechless.

The trio of panellists will vote to decide if Connie makes it through to the following evening’s studio final for the chance to sing in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show and win £100,000.

“This girl is just special,” Cowell told the Mail last night. “I have never felt such a powerful silence in my life as when Connie sang. It was pure magic.

Surviving a Cluttered Life

27 05 2007

Do you have the feeling that your life’s currently messed up?

messeduplife

I stumble upon Lifehack.org and they have a pretty good list of 10 simple ways to save us from messing up our lives.

Waaah! I am guilty of not practicing most of it… tsk tsk tsk no wonder why I am always stressed out. Ha ha! Anway, I guess, I better apply all these in my daily life from now on.

Stop taking so much notice of how you feel.
How you feel is how you feel. It’ll pass soon. What you’re thinking is what you’re thinking. It’ll go too.

Let go of worrying.
It often makes things worse. The more you think about something bad, the more likely it is to happen.

Ease up on the internal life commentary.
If you want to be happy, stop telling yourself you’re miserable.

Take no notice of your inner critic.
Judging yourself is pointless. Judging others is half-witted.

Give up on feeling guilty.
Guilt changes nothing. It may make you feel you’re accepting responsibility, but it can’t produce anything new in your life.

Stop being concerned what the rest of the world says about you.
Nasty people can’t make you mad. Nice people can’t make you happy. Events or people are simply events or people. Remember, most people are far too busy thinking about themselves and worrying what you are are thinking and saying about them, to be concerned about you.

Stop keeping score.
Numbers are just numbers. They don’t have mystical powers. No one is competing with you.

Don’t be concerned that your life and career aren’t working out the way you planned.
The closer you stick to any plan, the quicker you’ll go wrong. The world changes constantly.

Don’t let others use you to avoid being responsible for their own decisions.
To hold yourself responsible for someone else’s success and happiness demeans them and proves you’ve lost the plot. It’s their life. They have to live it. We can’t do it for them.

Don’t worry about about your personality.
You don’t really have one. Personality, like ego, is a concept invented by your mind. It doesn’t exist in the real world. Personality is a word for the general impression that you give through your words and actions. If your personality isn’t likeable today, don’t worry. You can always change it, so long as you allow yourself to do so.

Domain Name Suggestions Please…

22 05 2007

Lately, I have been contemplating on getting my own domain name and webhost. I have been reading several blogs and I was really inspired to continue blogging and hopefully create my own niche in the blogosphere and maybe earn a little from it. ;-)

I started blogging several years ago with Blogger without even knowing what a blog really is and I didn’t realized until I join wordpress that I have been “blogging” na pala all those time. he he he. But I stopped blogging for about a year or two because I forgot my Blogger username and password, ulyanin noh? Gladly, I was able to recover my old blog when they implemented the use of your gmail account as your login ID, I was able to claim my old blog and I was able to export my old post to my wordpress blog eventually. I continued my old blog in blogger but I didn’t use my old layout and blogname (“angelicwitches”) anymore since I am not much into witchcraft now. he he he.

Then eto, I came across WordPress, I tried it and instantly fell inlove with it. I find it so user-friendly and I love the clean look of the generic themes available. But not being able to tinker much with the layout and not being able to post ads and other scripts on my blog made me think of getting my own domain name and subscribing to a webhost, which I read is also needed if I want to earn from it or as a pro blogger would say “monetize my blog”.

Now, my dilemma! I don’t know what domain name to use and which webhost to subscribe to. For the domain name I have been discussing several options with my hubby, but our best choice is not available already. On this site I used my name “http://happypajimna.wordpress.com” and it’s not for any reason but only because I never realized that this would be my address already he he he. I thought I was just asked to input my name, so I typed in “happypajimna” ha ha ha! Realizing my mistake or better my “kabobohan”, bumawi na lang ako sa sitename, I named my blog Bittersweet Coffee my original choice for my blogname (obvious ba na caffeine addict?) ;-) The sad part now, when I checked with the domain name registration, “bittersweetcoffee.com” is no longer available, Waaah! I also checked my other option “coffeechic.com” my my old blog’s current title, it is not available either! Now, I am afraid that I might be stucked with “happypajimna.com” once more. :-(

I have a few names in mind but I am not completely sold with any of it yet, and my hubby said they all sounds silly! :-) Anyway, here are my choices: Let me know what you think?

1. HappySleeps – because Happy loves to Sleep ;-)
2. CoffeeSnores – because I love Coffee and I Snore! Ha ha ha! :-D
3. Bittersweethappy – this one is my hubby’s suggestion, and I am currently using it as the current URL for my Coffee Chic blog. But I don’t like it much.

My other choices really sounds silly, so I’ll post these three na lang. Please send me your suggestions or I’ll end up with “happypajimna.com” oh no! please No!!!
